Dear Giver,
Thank you for your willingness to give to Chapel Creek Fellowship in Fort Worth, Texas as we work to further the Kingdom of God. The Bible is very clear about giving in the Old and New Testaments both.
“A tenth of the land's produce, whether grain from the ground or fruit from the trees, is GOD's. It is holy to GOD.” (Lev. 27:30)
“Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” (2 Corinthians 9:6-7)
God goes on to promise us that He will bless our offerings:
“And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work…Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.” (2 Corinthians 9:8, 10-11)
Your giving makes it possible for people to go and preach the gospel to all the world. Think about this: do you know why you are saved today? Because someone over in Europe came to the United States with the gospel and sacrificed. They struggled to make a life, but they spread the gospel so that you and I could be saved. We owe it to those who have yet to hear the truth. I pray that you will always give in that Spirit, by saying, “God, it is a privilege to take part in sharing the Gospel.”
Sincerely,
Pastor Keith Day
